Throwback Thursday: 1st Lt Laura Simpson
I am delighted to share with my fellow Squadron TX-041 members a photo that recently surfaced...it was taken about 52 years ago. I was in 9th grade during the 1968-1969 school year. Truly, my brothers and I have wonderful memories of our days as cadets. Girls wore skirts, nylon stockings, and white gloves... even while spray painting numbers on curbs as part of a fund-raising project! I am still friends with (then) Cadet Lt. Norvin Whitefield. He became a pilot and managed a major airport in Santa Barbara, CA. Cadets: Save your CAP photos. Someday, they will be precious to you!
P.S. Check out the Chevy parked in the driveway. It's now a classic!
