March 15 Commander's COVID-19 Update

Since last night, CAP National Headquarters has issued additional guidance regarding CAP travel and meetings. Specifically, any CAP gathering that can be postponed without negatively impacting CAP’s mission readiness or emergency services capabilities should be postponed until after 11 May 2020.

Accordingly, my original decision to cancel in-person meetings through 31 March is hereby extended through 11 May. I have directed the cadet program leadership to begin developing online-centric curriculum and activities in order to continue the cadet program during this period, and this will be communicated to cadets via their leadership in the coming weeks. Required curricula for cadets such as character development, and briefings required for all members such as safety, will continue as scheduled during our online meetings.
